Rental car reservation site OKIREN multilingual version released!!
Thank you for always using OKIREN. We have now released a multilingual version of the rental car reservation site “OKIREN” so that everyone can use it more comfortably! For first-time users, we explain everything from how to use this site to what to do on the day of your rental.

The flow until you pick up your car
The actual rental process is very simple!
After specifying the period (date and time) you wish to rent a car on this site and conducting a search, go to the page for the car or price plan you like. If you want to make a reservation, enter the personal information of the person reserving the rental car and confirm to complete the reservation!
On the day your rental begins, go to the rental office from the airport and complete the reception procedures. You are now ready to depart on your fun-filled trip!

About Payment Methods
All reservations made on this website must be paid for using online payment.
Please note that on-site cash payments is not accepted.
Reservations are officially confirmed upon receipt of payment.

How to Return Your Rental Car
Each rental company has its own procedure, but after returning the car, both parties will check for damage to the car. If there are no problems, the car will be returned and the return procedures will be completed.

*If the actual rental customer cannot be contacted, the member who made the reservation on their behalf may be contacted.
Q.What should I do if the period for canceling online has passed?
If the cancellation deadline has passed, you will not be able to cancel online.

Q.When will I be charged a cancellation fee for my rental car reservation?
The cancellation policy, including the timing of the cancellation fee and the amount, varies by each car rental company.
If you are checking before making a reservation, please refer to the details page of each plan.
If you have already made a reservation, please check the reservation confirmation email or the reservation inquiry page.

Q.The car rental company I reserved with has stopped accepting reservations. Will this affect my car rental?
Your reservation is confirmed once the reservation number is generated on the reservation confirmation screen.
Some car rental companies may temporarily stop accepting reservations or listings, but this will not affect your car rental, so please rest assured.
*If you are concerned, please contact the car rental company directly.
Q.Do I need to show my reservation confirmation email when I visit the rental car company?
To avoid any discrepancies regarding payment or details, we recommend printing out the [reservation confirmation email] or the [car rental company reservation details] screen, or preparing the email screen or a screenshot.
*If printing is not possible, please make a note of the reservation number.
Q.Will there be a cancellation fee even in the event of a typhoon or disaster?
The car rental company handles the billing decisions, so if you need to cancel your reservation due to bad weather or other circumstances, please contact the car rental company directly.

Q.Does the name on the credit card used for the rental car have to be the same as the user's name?
The name on the credit card does not have to be the same as the user's.
Q.I want you to issue a receipt
It will be issued by the car rental company you reserved with.
Q.How many people can ride per car?
It varies depending on the car type settings of each car rental company.
While it may differ by car rental company, typically, passenger cars have a maximum capacity of 4 to 5 people (excluding some models), minivans and wagons can accommodate 6 to 10 people, and RVs can fit 5 to 8 people per vehicle.
Q.How do I pick up and return my car?
Instruction will be provided from each car rental company, so please contact them directly for confirmation.
Q.I called the rental store, and they said there is no reservation. Why is that?
Due to network congestion, there may be a delay in confirming your reservation.
Please kindly wait a moment until your reservation is confirmed.
Q.Can I change my reservation details?
Currently, we do not accept changes to reservation details. Please cancel your current reservation and make a new one.
※ Depending on the timing of the cancellation, a cancellation fee may apply based on each car rental company’s cancellation policy.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
To help you understand insurance and compensation for rental cars, we will explain the two systems of indemnification and NOC (non-operation charge) compensation.
In the event of an accident involving a rental car user, the car rental company may suffer business losses in addition to damages to people, property and the rented car.
Insurance covers damages to people and property but not the car rental company’s loss of business.
The system that exempts the customer from liability costs (deductible) within the scope of the insurance coverage is called indemnification and the system that exempts the customer from claims for business losses to the car rental company is called “NOC Compensation”.
This website provides information on indemnification in the plans of each car rental company.
The conditions of the insurance vary by plan, so please check the plan details carefully.
Even withCollision Damage Waiver (CDW), you will be responsible for any damage exceeding the insurance coverage.
Even with Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), the insurance may also not cover damages that were not reported to the police or that fall under the insurance policy’s exclusions, violations of the rental agreement or situations in which the customer is found responsible for the use or management of the vehicle.
Please note that insurance coverage also varies car rental company.

About Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
Without indemnification, you are responsible for any damages covered by the insurance, up to a certain amount.
This fixed amount is known as the deductible.
The amount of the deductible depends on the insurance coverage of the car rental company and the class of car you rent, but it can be quite expensive, ranging from 50,000 to 200,000 yen.
By also enrolling in what is known as Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) when renting a vehicle, the car rental company bears the cost of the deductible on behalf of the customer.
Each car rental company plan on this website has different conditions for enrolling in Collision Damage Waiver.
Some plans already include this coverage in the rental fee, while others allow customers to choose their own coverage.
Please check the details screen for the specific plan.
About NOC Compensation
When a car rental company’s loss of business is not covered by Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), the customer will always be billed separately.
This fixed amount to be paid by the customer is called a Non-Operation Charge (NOC).
This non-operation charge is not only eligible for accidents, but also for events that cannot be lent to other customers, such as damage to in-car equipment (burnt holes in the seat, etc.), theft, hit and run damage.
About cancellations
You can cancelyour reservation through theReservation History page.
A cancellation fee may apply in accordance with the cancellation policy of the car rental company being used.
Please refer to the reservation confirmation email or the Reservation History page for the company’s cancellation policy.
About Changes
Reservation changes are not accepted through this website. Please cancel your current reservation and make new one.
When an accident happens
(1) Give aid to any injured people Immediately call 119 for an ambulance, provide first aid to the injured, and move the rental car to a safe location.
(2) Call the police Even if the accident is minor, call the police to report the accident. Once the accident report has been filed, please follow the procedures to obtain an accident certificate. (The accident certificate is necessary to use the compensation system.)
(3) Call the emergency contact number
Please call the emergency contact number for the rental car company. Note that if you reach a settlement with the other party, the compensation system cannot be used.
The incident will be treated as an accident regardless of the amount of damage or whether there is another party involved, so please follow the procedures outlined above.
When the car malfunctions
If you notice anything unusual or experience a malfunction/problem, please stop the car in a safe place and contact the car rental company.
