After your reservation is confirmed, self check-in is mandatory.
Once you receive the reservation confirmation email, we will send you a separate email with instructions for self check-in.
Please complete the self check-in process using the link provided in that email.
If self check-in is not completed in advance, the vehicle handover may take additional time, so we kindly ask for your cooperation.

【International Driving Permit / Foreign Driver’s License】
If you hold a foreign driver’s license and wish to drive in Japan, you must prepare valid documents as listed below.

■ Driving a UMUI Rental Car with an International Driving Permit (IDP)
International Driving Permit (issued by a Geneva Convention contracting country in accordance with the Geneva Convention format)
Passport (with an immigration stamp showing the date of entry into Japan)
■ Driving a UMUI Rental Car with a Foreign Driver’s License
Foreign driver’s license (issued by Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium, Monaco, or Taiwan)
Official Japanese translation of the driver’s license
■ Driving a UMUI Rental Car with a U.S. Forces Japan License
U.S. Forces Japan Operator’s Permit (SOFA)
U.S. Military ID

Up to 7 days before the rental date: Free of charge
From 6 to 3 days before the rental date: 20% of the total rental fee
From 2 days before to the day before the rental date: 30% of the total rental fee
On the rental date: 50% of the total rental fee
Unauthorized cancellations or unauthorized extensions will be charged at twice the normal rate.
